Cost Of Treatment
Every patient is unique. Every patient has different needs. Some patients have insurance that will help pay the costs to
enter a rehab center and some don't.
Some patients can afford to pay up front for the costs that are patient responsibility and some patients need financial help. Because your financial
position should not be the primary factor that determines whether or not you or your loved one gets help, our
nationwide rehab centers have treatment options and
financing options that will fit the needs of most people. It is important to understand your treatment choices and financing options.
Treatment Choices Are Available
At All Rehab Centers
The Traditional Residential Treatment Choice
This treatment option is available at all rehab centers when a 30-day residential treatment
experience is desired. Typically when a patient completes this treatment option the patient will go directly into continuing care. Continuing
care will provide support for up to a year following discharge from primary residential care.
The Step-Down Treatment Choice
Facility treatment options for all rehab centers are available for patients who need to begin treatment in a residential setting for a 24-hour period and get back to
their daily life as soon as possible. In order to help with this goal you or your loved one, as a patient, will work with your counselor to identify
the progress needed to move from residential to outpatient care. This basically means you or your loved one will be
stabilized in residential care and then complete treatment in an outpatient setting.
Typically when a patient completes treatment at one of our rehab centers the patient will
go directly into continuing care. Continuing care will provide support for up to a year following discharge from primary outpatient care.
Additionally, it is helpful to know that many patients needing financial assistance to access treatment elect the step-down model of care.
The Outpatient Treatment Choice
This treatment option is available for patients who need a less structured treatment option that allows them to continue with their daily life. Patients
normally attend group sessions in the evenings. Typically when a patient completes this treatment option the patient will go directly into continuing care.
Continuing care will provide support for up to a year following discharge from primary outpatient care.
Outpatient treatment at our rehab centers are available both on-grounds and online.
How You Pay for Treatment will Affect Your Treatment Choices
Your treatment choices are affected by the way in which your treatment costs are paid. The following paragraphs will explain how financial factors affect
treatment choices.
If You Have Health Insurance and Plan to Use It
Your health insurance policy will guide this process. While many health insurance policies include chemical dependency treatment benefits, these policies also
often include medical necessity requirements that the patient must meet in order to use these benefits. Valley Hope rehab centers have years of
experience helping patients work with their insurance companies. However, there is no guarantee that your insurance company will authorize payment.
When you use your insurance benefits to help pay for treatment you can usually expect that treatment will follow the step-down treatment model.
Self-Pay Options
If you are a patient electing a self-pay program, then you can choose traditional treatment which includes a traditional 30-day length of stay at
one of our residential treatment rehab centers. Alternately, you can work with your counselor to individualize your length of stay based on
your immediate clinical needs. In this latter case the course of treatment would likely be stabilization in residential care and completion of
primary care in an outpatient setting. For self pay all Valley Hope rehab centers follow this model.
Traditional Care Program
Many of our patients choose a conventional course of treatment that we call "Traditional Care." To admit to our Traditional Care program the patient must be
willing to commit to 30 days of residential treatment without the use of health insurance. The cost for this program is substantially discounted and includes
all treatment costs except non-routine ancillary charges (i.e. medications, doctor visits, non-routine lab work, etc.). Completion of this program at
one of our rehab centers provides the patient with the opportunity to purchase a full
year of continuing care at a substantially discounted rate.
Recovery Commitment Program
This fee discount program is for patients who choose outpatient treatment and are willing to commit to six weeks of intensive (IOP) treatment without the use of
health insurance. The cost of this program is substantially discounted and includes 3 group sessions per week and up to 6 hours of individual counseling. Completion
of this program provides the patient with the opportunity to purchase a full year of continuing care at a substantially discounted rate. The Recovery Commitment
Program is available both on-ground at the rehab centers and online.
Self-Pay Financing Program
Patients who are unable to take advantage of the Traditional Care or Recovery Commitment programs may choose to participate in our self-pay program. The self-pay
program usually involves some initial payment to get started. Then, if you qualify, the remaining balance due on the account can be set up on a monthly payment plan.
This payment plan will include an interest charge (similar to a credit card plan). The interest amount will depend on how quickly you can pay back the financed
amount as well as on some other factors. The Valley Hope rehab centers will work with you to individually tailor your financing plan to your particular
financial situation. Our first concern, however, is always about your well being. Please, if you believe Valley Hope can help you or your loved one,
give us a call or stop by one of our facilities.
Continuing Care
Chemical dependency is a chronic disease and people are not "cured" when they complete primary care. Research shows that patients who stay connected to primary
and continuing care treatment for a year or longer have stronger recovery programs and are less prone to relapse.
All Valley Hope rehab centers offer continuing care at a considerable discount to
those patients who complete primary care at Valley Hope.
