An Unforgettable Summer
As an alumnus of Chandler Valley Hope often throughout the years something reminds me of things or events that took place while I was in treatment there.
My small group leader at the time was Laurie S., one of the things she told me was that: "When you are worthy of His Son ship you will be a father again."
My youngest son Mathew has been back in my life now since 2002 and I now have custody of him. We live on the lake in Granbury, Texas and this summer we have
got to do quite a bit of fishing; I can't even begin to explain the pleasure of watching him land a big bass, or catfish and teaching him how to drive on the
back roads here. As a recovered alcoholic/addict I can say that, "The greatest thing you can spend on your children is time"—thank God I now have the time to
do that. February 5, 2007, will be 9 years one day at a time. Eldon L.
