Our drug rehab center in Arizona is a 56-bed treatment center located in the Phoenix suburb of Chandler. It features easy access to Sky Harbor International Airport (approximately 30 minutes) and is located just to the east of Arizona Avenue. Fly to Recovery Services are also available.

Chandler Valley Hope was opened in August of 1986 and provides residential, day or partial care, medically monitored detox and family services. Professional staff also perform direct assessment and evaluation services. Chandler is JCAHO accredited.

Say hello to Roger Nelson.

Roger has 28 years of experience in the behavioral health field working in the areas of employee assistance counseling, community mental health, and substance abuse treatment in all levels of care. Roger joined the staff at Chandler Valley Hope in 1994 and has worked as a Primary Counselor, Outpatient Program Director, Inpatient Program Director and Community Services Clinician. He was a charter member of the Arizona Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, and served as President of the Network of Employee Assistance Professionals. He has served as a member of the Ethics Committee, National Program Standard Committee, and the Public Policy/Legislative Committee Liaison for the Employee Assistance Professionals Association. He was also on the Board of Directors of Recourse Foundation and as Vice-Resident and Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Phoenix area National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.

Roger completed his Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling at North Dakota State University in 1983 and is credentialed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor. He and his family moved to Arizona in 1985.

His passion lies in working with and helping people, and as Valley Hope’s Community Services Clinician, he is here to serve you and provide any customer service needs you may have.
